  7. Q:  When did you become interested in the field of 
  8. study that your father had pioneered?

  10. A:  Well, that didn‚Äôt come until much later. All the 
  11. time I was growing up, of course, the one thing 
  12. that I was not going to do was teach. Lord no. My 
  13. mother was a teacher, my father was a teacher, I 
  14. was damn sure that I wasn‚Äôt going to be a teacher.
